ABOUT AYNNE VALENCIA
I am a designer, thinker about things and advocate for design and the design community.
The cognitive load we as humans face everyday is much more complex than ever before. We have gone beyond an information driven society, beyond the notion of virtual social interaction.
I believe the next wave is creating contextual relevancy and digitally enabled means for humans to way find through this discreet data and also find ways to infuse appropriate meaning and emotional and visceral reaction to these experiences.
Designers
are privileged to impact human to human behavior and hopefully encourage responsible and positive cultural change.
OTHER THAN DESIGN
I can be found making short films, taking lots of pictures, collecting random often spooky ephemera from flea markets, cooking wine-filled vegetarian dinners for friends, exploring the city and the woods and oceans with my awesome dog, and I am likely planning my next trip abroad as I am an avid traveler.
INSPIRATIONS
Banksy, John Maeda, Bruce Mau, Ruth Asawa, Carl Jung, Hsing Yun, Jacques Derrida, Kalle Lasn, Thich Nhat Hanh, Shunryu Suzuki Rosh, Tibor Kalman, Soto Zen practice and all the guerilla street artists and culture jammers everywhere.
