thankful
today before I head off for a day of who-knows-what-but-I -am -pretty-sure-it -isn't-gonna-be-good-news day I take a moment to think about what I am thankful.
I am thankful for the three (count 'em, three) relatives I have left in the world.
I am thankful for my far away bestest friends and their love and support who helped me through the most traumatic time in my life. I am indebted and grateful forever and couldn't have held on to the raft without them.
I am thankful for having a warm place to sleep every night
I am thankful for the opportunities I had this year.
Attending school in Italy
Spending significant time in New York
Working on some projects in The Valley on my own
The chance to know that I really can make it as a freelance designer if I wanted to
And now - off to Paris
I am thankful San Francisco was my waiting room while I planned out my next course of action - it has been a stable place to land.
I am thankful for all the interesting people I have met along this crazy journey - some just for a short time and some that maybe will be friends for a long time
and mostly, even though I complain a lot and it doesn't seem this way -
I am thankful just to be here, in this world, alive right now.
I am not sure what the future holds quite yet
But I know
Its time to move on to the future without fear and baggage.
Healed, stronger and more hopeful than ever before.
2008 is gonna rock.....
