Aynne Valencia is an experienced leader directing strategy and design for: advanced products, R&D, new products and their supporting services. She has a unique background that blends interaction design management, visual design, advertising, design research, and project management. With over 13 years digital design experience she has lead multi-disciplinary teams to deliver simple and innovative solutions for clients. Experience Design Lead, Strategy & User Experience MOTO (Now Cisco Consumer Products - Flip Video Camera)
San Francisco 2009-2011

Design leadership for five Flip Video camcorder products that were slated to be shipped Spring 2011, Fall 2011 and Spring 2012. Responsible for experience design from out of box to camera user interface to core use of new features to troubleshooting. Led interaction design, visual design and asset production efforts, managed vendor relationship for hardware user interface, coordinated between web and software design teams, customer advocacy, legal, product development, marketing, mechanical engineering, packaging and industrial design teams.

Crafted strategies, create concept videos and other visual materials to convey concept design, delivery of conceptual models , feature description and manage, prepare and present creative for business and strategic development and project presentations.

Microsoft New Consumer Products Incubation Determined physical input and interaction models for a new consumer product concept now publicly known as Surface. Designed the shell design for the product demonstration and designed applications used for testing gesture input methods. Participated in user research efforts including comprehensive ethnographic studies, and designed music player functionality.
