Sidewalk messages to improve public space.
MANIFESTO:
2005 was a bad year for violence in San Francisco.
One of the most romantic cities in the world is suffering from plight, grafitti and vandalism.
What if we turned it around on itself?
What if the grafitti spoke to you?
What if you received a message of love and affection?
Would you feel a little better?
Would you feel slightly exhilarated?
Would you wonder who left it?
Would it make you feel momentarily good about humanity?
Could a simple message left to no one in particular, not even noticed by most make the smallest difference to someone?
What if one person in the thousands that make notice of it – and it makes that one person have hope?
What if the massage was left for no one in particular?
Would it matter that the message wasn’t meant for you?
I couldn't love you more
Your smile makes my day
You are everything to me
You are unique and special
Love is all around you
Loving is as loving does
You are everything to me
