Today is the Autumnal Equinox. The day marking the arrival of Fall.
It also is the first day of Libra. When the fruits of the harvest of the year come in to be weighed and measured.
The time when we see what we have, discard what we don't need, enjoy the things that won't last and consider what we will need to get us through the upcoming winter.

I love people telling it like it is..
Why does it seem only comedians (Jon Stewart) are allowed to tell the truth?

An old BBC Article I found about how it is scientifically proven that Buddhists are happier than other people. I am not sure one can accurately quantify happiness but speaking from my own experience, I have been much happier Buddhist than not Buddhist.

Three journalists were illegally arrested and detained during the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis. According to reports they were manhandled and arrested despite having clearly identified themselves as reporters.
This is supposed to be a democracy with freedom of the press last time I checked.

Two new things to love about SFMOMA.
1. A blog for the SFMOMA which I think is a great idea.
2. A truly interactive, real life experiential piece from artist Tony Labat which I think is brilliant and am curious to see how it shakes out.
