awareness of the thing moving around us
Application and opportunity:
Airport security
Environmental Protection
Food integrity
Semantic Measurement of location-based data plus bio sensing can make for some helpful scenarios for virus detection and infectious disease control, crisis management and response.
Anticipatory Systems
Systems that collect data from machines or social systems and create an automated response mechanism to respond before crisis or the need to replenish occur.
In concept of these ideas and technologies it is helpful to consider the holistic scenarios involved.
Who are the actors? What is the system? How to they interact (or not) and where can measurable, quantifiable and responsive metrics and data be extrapolated. Look for the places where data is already being emitted and leverage those spots to add value to a business, consumer or process and create meaning for this data.
